Coro (Agenzia Fides) - The Archdiocese of Coro continues its social work adapting it to the reality of confinement and the economic crisis that the country is experiencing. Thanks to the support received by Adveniat and Cáritas Venezuela towards the most needy, over 80 citizens deprived of their freedom have benefited this week from the "Atención alimentaria al privado de libertad" program in the Falcón state police command.
The program is lrf by Ms Cira Montes, director of the Archdiocesan Institute of Distance Theology, and carried out by volunteers and individuals, who have been providing this service to detainees of the regional police for more than 3 years. With this aim, on Monday 15 June, it was the first day of food assistance, in accordance with the due health and biosecurity measures suggested by WHO, which was attended by representatives of the Archdiocesan Curia of Choir and Program volunteers.
