Hu He Hao Te (Fides Service) - Recently, to thank God for the gift of vocations, the Rector of the seminary of Inner Mongolia organised a concert of Christian Sacred Music. The participants, the cathedral choir, the choir of the convent of Saint Theresa, priests, seminarians and young lay people, gathered in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral to thank God. One seminarian said: “As I sang a hymn of praise and I said, Lord I will do whatever you want me to do”.
The seminary is in the diocese of Hu He Hao Te (formerly known as Sui Yuan), the main city in the province. Reopened on 15 June 1985, today it has 30 seminarians. Hu He Hao Te diocese, formerly a mission opened by the Scheut Missionaries from Belgium, was created in 1946. It has a community of over 20,000 Catholics and 26 priests.
