AMERICA/PERU - First annual assembly of PMS Youth delegates will identify basic lines for Missionary Youth Pastoral

Lima (Fides Service) - The Pontifical Mission Societies PMS in Peru have announced that the first annual assembly of PMS Youth Delegates organised in collaboration with the National Missionary Youth office SENAJUMI will be held 26-27 February in Lima. The meeting will be for PMS Missionary Youth Delegates and representatives of Missionary Youth Pastoral working in parishes, schools, religions communities in direct contact with the PMS.
The meeting will discuss objectives and organisation of SENAJUMI and missionary realities in Peru, with a presentation of missionary activity in various dioceses and the Missionary Youth Pastoral, and its relation with diocesan youth pastoral. Participants will also share experience of mission activities.
The main objectives of the meeting include: inform people of PMS activity, know more about missionary youth groups which do not work with the PMS, collect experience and testimony of the needs in the dioceses, identify basic lines for Missionary Youth Pastoral, build a national and international information network, affiliate more groups with SENAJUMI, draft a plan of Missionary Youth formation for all the groups in the country, increase ad gentes missionary experience and organise activity in collaboration with the institutions of the universal Church operating in the field of mission.
