Brazzaville (Agenzia Fides) - The XIV National Council for Catholic Education was held at the Inter-diocesan Center of Brazzaville from 15 to 17 October on the theme: "respect and integrity of creation in the Catholic school", theme taken from the Encyclical Laudato Sì by Pope Francis.
The works opened on October 15 by His Exc. Mgr. Anatole Milandou, Archbishop of Brazzaville and President of the Episcopal Commission for Catholic Education (CEEDUC), in the presence of Armand Brice IBOMBO Secretary General of the Episcopal Conference of Congo, delegates representing the directors of Catholic schools in all the dioceses of Congo.
During her greetings, Sr. Clarisse Nkourissa, CEEDUC Secretary General, announced the relaunch of the "green school" project this year, which envisages planting trees in all Catholic schools. The works of the Council focused on the Encyclical Laudato Sì, on the respect for the environment and on "our land common home".
