ASIA/HONG KONG - Bishop Joseph Zen praises priests and religious celebrating anniversary of ordination or profession

Hong Kong (Fides Service) - Addressing priests and religious marking the anniversary of their ordination or profession Bishop Joseph Zen of Hong Kong congratulated and praised them for letting themselves “be captured by the love of the Lord” and said he hoped many young people seeing them as authentic witnesses of peace and joy would imitate them and discover the real meaning of life. The Bishop thanked the 24 priests and men and women religious for dedicating their lives to God. According to Hong Kong diocesan bulletin Kong Ko Bao more than 800 people took part in the Mass concelebrated by 80 priests and presided by Bishop Zen.
These priests and religious have devoted their lives to evangelisation and pastoral work, caring for the disabled, drug addicts and the poor. Bishop Zen told those present “These priests and religious have persevered in the faith. It is important to renew our promises to God.
