AFRICA/BURKINA FASO and NIGER - Appointment of the National Director of the PMS, Fr. Isidore Nombré

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 1 January 2018 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed the rev. Fr. Isidore Nombré, of the diocesan clergy of Koudougou (Burkina Faso), as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Burkina Faso and Niger for a five-year term (2018/2023).
The new National Director was born on 4 April 1978 and was ordained a priest on 7 July 2007. He studied philosophy at the "Saints Pierre et Paul" Inter-diocesan Major Seminar of Kossoghin, and theology at the "Saint Jean Baptiste" Inter-diocesan Major Seminary of Wayalghin. He is currently diocesan Director of the PMS and formator at the minor Seminary. (SL) (Agenzia Fides, 25/1/2018)
