Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On June 28, 2017 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed rev. André Pakeu of the diocesan clergy of Yagoua as Rector of "Santa Giuseppina Bakhita" Interdiocesan Propedeutic Seminary in the Archdiocese of Ngaoundéré (Cameroon).
The new Rector was born on May 27, 1974 in Mindjil and was ordained a priest on June 25, 2005. He studied philosophy and theology at the Major Seminary of Maroua, then obtained a business administration licentiate at the Université catholique d’Afrique central of Yaoundé. Since his ordination he was a parish priest in various communities, diocesan vice bursar, Chaplain of Codas-Caritas, adjunct Episcopal Vicar. (SL) (Agenzia Fides, 07/09/2017)
