Cairo (Agenzia Fides) - Orthodox Catholic Patriarch Tawadros II has decided that 5 percent of the work regarding people working in ecclesiastical churches and institutions will now be dedicated for the disabled. The same provision - according to a note published on Wednesday, July 12, on the Copts United information site - will also be applied to the recruitment of staff in companies and social affairs linked to the Coptic Church, such as educational and health care institutions. The bishops' offices responsible for youth pastoral care have already set up professional training initiatives for disabled people who may be employed in the jobs reserved for them by the new patriarchal provisions.
