Copiapó (Agenzia Fides) - The Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe House of Migrant in Copiapó hosted a conference on the rights of foreign workers residing in the Chilean region of Atacama, promoted by the Pastoral Ministry for Migrants of the Diocese of Copiapó. There were over sixty participants, mostly foreigners.

They illustrated their labor rights in the country, the means of denunciation, the protection they are entitled to, among other things. The president of the Copiapó Court of Appeal, Minister Antonio Ulloa, thanked for the contribution given to the region by every foreigner and for the space offered by the Church for information and guidance of migrants. Finally, the Bishop of Copiapó, Mgr. Celestino Aós, acknowledged the efforts made by the various institutions to better accommodate citizens of other countries, motivating them to be part of the community, while maintaining their cultural expressions, and knowing and sharing those of the country hosting them.
