Beirut (Agenzia Fides) - This year more than six hundred Maronites from Lebanese emigrated families will come to Lebanon to participate in the "Maronite Youth Days" from 21 July. The initiative, conceived under the patronage of the Maronite Foundation in the world and the Office of the Juvenile Pastoral of the Maronite Patriarchate, is part of the programs implemented by the Maronite Church and its related institutions with the aim to keep the ties between Lebanese emigrants and their own country of origin alive. Also other projects set up by related bodies such as the Maronite Foundation - an institution founded by former minister Michel Eddé and currently chaired by Neemat Frem - and the Maronite Academy, also organizes special courses via the internet aimed specifically to the Lebanese in diaspora. Next August, 70 young of the Lebanese diaspora from 20 Countries will attend program lectures on the history, culture and heritage of Lebanon and the Maronite Church organized by the Université Saint-Esprit in Kaslik (USEK).
