Chihuahua (Agenzia Fides) - Drug use in the state of Chihuahua starts at 10 years of age. The complaint comes from the PCE State Center for Toxicology, of the Mexican State, which is the first in the Country where alarming cases are registered. Street children consume inhalants and solvents, many of them to mitigate hunger. The phenomenon concerns the whole Country where children consume some psychoactive substances such as cocaine, heroin and benzodiazepines, substances that help to sleep and relax muscles as well as being medicines with therapeutic indications. However, the highest drug consumption remains mariuana, with 81.8% in 2012, well above national average, which is 79.5%. An increase of 500% was also recorded in the consumption of glass substances in the last 5 years. (AP) (Agenzia Fides, 6/7/2017)
