AMERICA/CUBA - Cuban Bishops close to the suffering and uncertainty of Venezuelans

Havana (Agenzia Fides) - "In these difficult moments of the life of Venezuelan people, we are not alien to the suffering and uncertainty that Venezuelans live", writes the President of the Cuban episcopal Conference His Exc. Mgr. Dionisio Garcia Ibanez, Archbishop of Santiago de Cuba, to the President of the Bishops' Conference of Venezuela, His Exc. Mgr. Rafael Padron Sanchez, Archbishop of Cumanà.
In the letter, sent to Fides, the Bishops of Cuba assure their "fraternal closeness, prayer, and the deep desire that the paths of forgiveness and profound and sincere dialogue, bring about stable and authentic peace".
The Cuban Bishops also offer their "firm support to the Bishops of Venezuela regarding the desires expressed in repeated interventions in favor of peace and consensus among all the Venezuelans", entrusting all to the Virgen de la Caridad, Patron of Cuba, and to his Son Jesus, Prince of Peace.
