Fr. Leo spoke to the 500 participants of hospitals and 300 nursing students, on 'Bioethics and care for the elderly and the dying'." "The four key words to be printed in your heart and in your mind, every time you assist an elder or dying - said Fr. Leo at the end of his speech - are: Thank you - Forgive me - I love you - Goodbye".
To almost a thousand philosophy and theology seminarians and thirty professors of the Major Seminary of the Divine Word in Ledalero, considered the largest in the major seminary of the Catholic Church in Asia, Fr. Pessini instead spoke on the theme: "The Future of Bioethics in times of globalization: the concerns, hopes and expectations". "Bioethics, born only 37 years ago - said the Superior General to the participants - is called to face new and difficult issues that affect human life from its beginning with conception and birth until the end of his days. You - continued Fr. Leo to seminarians - are called to prepare yourselves well on the moral issues of concern for the Church today, to then be sure guides of the people entrusted to you".
The visit and conference of the Superior General of the Camillians marked a historic moment for the Indonesian Camillian mission and certainly enriched the local church for more knowledge and attention to the pastoral care of the sick and the preciousness of the charism of St. Camillus, concluded Father Galvani.
