EUROPE/FRANCE - Association of Missionary Medics organises course in tropical medicine, basic laboratory work, community healthcare

Lyon (Fides France) - Life in the north and south of the planet is still very different and before going on mission people need basic training and knowledge. In the health context of today to be of help in developing countries it is necessary to have basic healthcare expertise.
The Association of Missionary Medics of France AMM will hold a special three day Mission Preparation Course 18, 19 and 20 November at Village de Solidarité international” in Lyon. The course will give students basic health care training enabling them to run a laboratory of tropical medicine, involve local people in healthcare development programmes, tackle tropical pathologies and sanitation issues, supply technical formation for local health workers.
AMM works among the poorest and forgotten peoples in developing countries, to improve health and access to medical care and help people live with dignity.
AMM personnel works in hospitals and in remote dispensaries, dealing with emergencies, taking part in campaigns for vaccination, to create sanitary awareness and organises medical controls where it is operative.
