AFRICA/BURKINA FASO - After 50 years of presence in the Country, the newly Camillian Province has been established

Ouagadougou (Agenzia Fides) - On Sunday 16 October in Ouagadougou the 50th anniversary of the presence of Camillians (M.I.) in Burkina Faso together with the canonical establishment of the New Camillian Province of the Country were celebrated. For this significant event the date of 13 October 2016 was chosen, the anniversary of the 15 years of Father Celestino Di Giovanbattista’s death, a Camillian missionary in Burkina for many years, parish priest for 20 years of St. Camillus Parish in Ouagadougou, killed while he was carrying out his pastoral visit to the prisoners of the capital's prison.
