AFRICA/GHANA - Appointment of National Director of the PMS, Fr. Isaac Ebo Blay

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On June 29, 2016 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed rev. Isaac Ebo Blay, of the archdiocesan clergy of Cape Coast as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Ghana for five years (2016-2021).
The new National Director is 56 years old and was ordained a priest in 1988. He holds a Masters in Information and Library Science at John Moores University Business School in Liverpool (England). After his ordination he was assistant pastor and pastor, Archbishop's secretary, chaplain of the Society of the Infant Jesus. He is currently archdiocesan Archivist, Archdiocesan Director of the PMS in Cape Coast in 1998 and Vicar general of the archdiocese since 2010. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 01/09/2016)
