Amman (Agenzia Fides) – The assassination of Fr Jacques Hamel, the French Catholic priest brutally murdered by two pro-Islamic state fanatics while he was celebrating mass, was an act of blind violence which “shocked our common humanity”. This statement by Jordanian Prince Hassan bin Talal, was posteda his Facebook account in his name. In the post the prominent member of Jordan’s royal family, always fully committed to interreligious dialogue, quoting Pope Francis, invokes from Almighty God "the gift of peace and humanity".
