Milan (Agenzia Fides) – Reporting the world of disability to children, with a magazine that speaks their language. But also to explain in a simple manner the importance of sight and the living conditions of blind people in developing countries in the world through stories, games, comics and curiosity. "Occhiolino" is all this and more, the new magazine of CBM Italy Onlus released this month of July with its first issue. "The magazine was born from the desire to engage and educate children on the universal values of solidarity, inclusion, openness to others but also to introduce the world of disability", reads the note sent to Agenzia Fides. "The first issue is dedicated entirely to Uganda, the Land of the Great Lakes, where blindness and disability are widespread, even among children. What does to have cataract mean for a poor child? Can it be cured? Can children with disabilities play and do sports? These are some of the questions that are answered in a simple and educational way. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 18/07/2016)
