Quito (Agenzia Fides) - The Latin American Meeting of the Episcopal Conferences of representatives for family ministry is being held in Quito, Ecuador, and also attended by representatives of movements that promote the family as their charism. The meeting aims to promote the integration in the national pastoral plans for the care of the family, in the light of the study and pastoral application of the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation "Amoris Laetitia".
Organized by the Department of family, life and youth of CELAM (Latin American and Caribbean Episcopal Council), the meeting began on July 4 and will end on July 8. Father José Antonio Velázquez, Executive Secretary of the Family, Life and Youth Department, informed Fides that the Exhortation will be the subject of careful reflection, starting from the different presentations and guidelines prepared by CELAM.
