Mendoza (Agenzia Fides) - On the occasion of the International Day of fight against the use and illicit traffic of drugs, the Archbishop of Mendoza, through the Pastoral against Addictions, Hogar de Cristo, and the desire of the Council of Catholic Education (conSec) in Mendoza, have organized a series of meetings to invite the community to reflect on this reality. The events will be held from June 26 to 29 under the motto "Mendoza wake up to save lives". There will be various workshops and seminars for families, members of the Pastoral against Addictions and for all those interested in the subject. During the first day there will be a meeting with the testimonies of young people, a theater performance and the realization of a painting of slogans and phrases in favor of life, in order to convey a message of joy and hope. Among the various initiatives, there is also a Mass in María Madre del Pueblo chapel. Finally, on June 29, a formation seminar will be held for members of the National Commission for drug addiction, intended for all those working in this specific area and those interested in addressing this problem.
