Guatemala City (Agenzia Fides) - Educational programs aimed at children in Guatemala do not meet expectations. In many rural communities, in particular, there is only one school which often fails to cover the needs of all the children. The quality of education is very low.
Mothers say they are concerned about the lack of resources. Children do not have access to technology, there are no facilities, educational materials such as books, exercise books, desks and basic services. Even school meals are not adequate. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 30/05/2016)
