Karachi (Agenzia Fides) - In Karachi, home to about 20 million people, almost half live below the poverty line and many families struggle every day to be able to get something to eat. A group of young people have joined their forces to try to improve the situation and help these people. They are called "The Robin Hood Army", they collect the food that is left over in restaurants and distribute it in the most peripheral areas of the city. The initiative was launched in 2015 with only 6 volunteers, now after a year there are 70 volunteers who distribute food in 25 slums in Karachi. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 17/05/2016)
