Chihuahua (Agenzia Fides) - In the Mexican state of Chihuahua no farmer will be able to employ child workers as in all other States of the Country. Local authorities, along with 250 farm owners, have recently signed an agreement that prohibits employing child workers in agricultural fields. The agreement provides that farmers’ children arriving in Chihuahua are cared for in shelters where they will receive food, will go to school and will not go to work in the fields. It is an initiative of the Integral Assistance Center for Children and Child Migrants which aims to eradicate child labor and to provide education and health care. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 13/04/2016)
