Sana'a (Agenzia Fides) - The toll after a year of war in Yemen is that 6 children are killed or maimed every three days. For them it is also dangerous and difficult to play or sleep.
With the intensification of the war, the recruitment and use of children in armed conflict continues to increase. Last year 848 were recorded some as young as 10 years old. In addition to the deaths from the direct impact of the war, it is estimated that about 10 000 children under five died last year due to preventable diseases caused by the sharp decline of basic health services such as vaccines or treatments against diarrhea and pneumonia.
