Dhaka (Agenzia Fides) – The sick of Dinajpur hope Fr. Piero Parolari, the Italian missionary of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions, wounded in an ambush with attempted murder, will soon return to Bangladesh. The patients of the hospital where the missionary, who is also a doctor, carried out his voluntary service, miss him very much.
Meanwhile, despite security measures, the rites of Holy Week and Easter celebrations were attended by many people, "especially on Good Friday with the adoration of the Cross", says another missionary, Fr. Adolfo L'Imperio. Easter was celebrated without any incidents. The priests are still escorted by police during their visits to the villages.
