Aguascalientes (Agenzia Fides) – Throughout Mexico there are more than 22,000 child laborers, many of whom do not receive any financial remuneration. In a note of the Regional Confederation of Mexican Workers (Crom) in Aguascalientes, sent to Fides, the leaders have launched an appeal to competent authorities so that they increase their efforts to contain the phenomenon. In addition, the head of Crom highlighted that 333 thousand 839 children, 22 thousand 337 workers are registered in the Country, and according to the figures of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) only 12,600 attend school . Other 4,825 do not receive any form of salary and have no social support. It should be noted that 7 out of 10 children of the 22 thousand work in the fields. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 18/03/2016)
