AFRICA/MADAGASCAR - Appointment of the Rector of the "Paul VI" Theological Seminary in Antsiranana

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On October 30, 2015 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed Rev. Sylvain Bevazaha, of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Amtsiranana as Rector of the "Paul VI" Theological major Seminary in the Archdiocese of Antsiranana, Madagascar.
The new Rector was born in Maroantsetra on February 19, 1966 and was ordained a priest on September 7, 1997 for the Archdiocese of Antsiranana.
He earned a degree in Social Doctrine of the Church at the Pontifical Gregorian University (2009), he attended Spiritual Theology Courses and courses for Educators in seminaries (2012). He was assistant parish priest and, since 2012, formator in the Seminary where he was appointed Rector. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 16/03/2016)
