Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On September 25, 2015 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples appointed Rev. Marcos Campos Amelia Musango, of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Beira as Rector of the "St. Pius X" theological interdiocesan major Seminary in the Archdiocese of Maputo, Mozambique.
The new Rector was born in the province of Sofala on 16 September 1972 and was ordained a priest on December 16, 2001 for the Archdiocese of Beira. He received his doctorate in Biblical Theology at the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome. He was Pastor, Director of the General Secretariat for pastoral coordination, member of the team of formators and professor at the Seminary where he was appointed Rector.
