AFRICA/MADAGASCAR - Appointment of the Rector of the "St. Jean-Marie Vianney " philosophical Seminary of Moramanga

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On October 23, 2015 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed Rev. Sévérin Vonindrazana Soratra, of the diocesan clergy of Fenoarivo Antsiranana as Rector of the "St. Jean-Marie Vianney" major interdiocesan philosophical Seminary in the diocese of Moramanga, Madagascar.
The new Rector was born in Antalaha on February 27, 1967 and was ordained a priest on September 8, 2002 for the diocese of Fenoarivo Antsiranana. He specialized in Catechesis and Bioethics at the "St. Thomas" Theological Institute in Messina (Italy), affiliated to the Salesian Pontifical University. He was parochial vicar, pastor, animator and formator in the field of family Pastoral care. He was spiritual animator in the seminary where he was appointed Rector. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 09/03/2016)
