Madrid (Agenzia Fides) - On 25 and 26 February, the Formation Days for employees and volunteers of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) of Spain was held at the house of retreat San Jose, El Escorial in Madrid, in its thirteenth edition. These days are an opportunity to deepen the knowledge of the missionary activity of the Church, promoting the exchange of missionary animation experiences in the various dioceses, and to take on new commitments in cooperation with the PMS.
The two days of this year were dedicated to the Pontifical Missionary Union, in order to deepen the founding charism and the actuality of the Society as a missionary formation tool of pastoral workers. Spanish missionaries are 13,000 in 140 countries in the world, but their work would not be possible without the silent and anonymous support of hundreds of workers and volunteers of the delegations for missions in all the Spanish dioceses.
