Sydney (Agenzia Fides) - “For Catholics, Holy Mass is not only a sacrifice offered it is the Holy Supper. Because Jesus chose to offer himself to us as food and drink. In this way we experience God’s love for us, accepting to eat the bread of life”: these words come from a special page on the Year of the Eucharist put on line by Catholic Australia newsletter recently launched by the Catholic Church in Australia.
The newsletter intends to offer a valuable service of formation and information for Catholic parishes, schools, associations and for individuals who want to know more about the Church in Australia and its activities and structures. The first issue of Catholic Australia was dedicated to World Mission Sunday 23 October, the origin and aim of the Day and explaining why all Christians should be missionaries.
Today to mark the closing of the Year of the Eucharist, also 23 October, the newsletter, gives a special issue focused on the Sacrament of the Eucharist which contemplates texts of spiritual and pastoral nature.
