Bangui (Agenzia Fides) - The second round of the Central African presidential elections will be held on Sunday, February 14. The two candidates are Anicet-Georges Dologuélé and Faustin-Archange Touadéra. They both held the office of prime minister in the past. Dologuélé received the support of Désiré Nzanga Kolingba, and came third in the elections on December 30, while Martin Ziguélé, who came fourth with 11.43% of the vote decided to support Touadéra.
On February 14 the first round of legislative elections will also be held, as the vote to elect the deputies on December 30 was canceled by the Constitutional Court, due to the serious irregularities found. (L.M.) (Agenzia Fides 08/02/2016)
