Rome (Fides Service) - On the way towards the 5th General Conference of the Council of Latin American Bishops’ Conferences, CELAM on October 14 Pope Benedict XVI received in audience Cardinal Francisco Javier Errazuriz Ossa, archbishop of Santiago (Chile) president of CELAM; Cardinal Pedro Rubiano Saenz, archbishop of Bogota (Colombia) president of the CELAM economic committee; Cardinal Claudio Hummes, archbishop of São Paolo (Brazil) and Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, archbishop of Buenos Aires (Argentina). Pope Benedict XVI decided that the Conference will take place in May 2007 in the Marian capital of Brazil Aparecida (São Paolo), at the national Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida, “Patroness of Brazil”.
