Veracruz (Agenzia Fides) - The inhabitants of the municipality of Ayahualulco, in the province of Veracruz, were using outdoor toilets until a few months ago. Today, thanks to the efforts of Veracruziano Voluntarism and the State System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF), the inhabitants now have chemical baths.
Through the program "Adiós a la Pobreza", 348 portable baths were placed in the community of Rinconada and Altamirada, that in addition to preserving the population from disease, they also contribute to environmental protection. This system is very effective especially because its installation is very easy. It also replaces toilets and generates no odors, it is ideal for places where there is no sewage system; does not generate parasites, it requires no maintenance and can be placed next to homes.
