Lima (Fides Service) - A Eucharistic Meeting “We have come to adore Him” organised by the 4th department of the archdiocese of Lima opens today 14 October at Our Lady of Guadalupe parish in Balconcillo, La Victoria. The meeting will close on Sunday 16, and its aim is to prepare for a solemn closing of the Year of the Eucharist to be held shortly in Lima with studies and reflection on the importance of the Eucharist in the life of every Christian.
The daily programme will start with animation and presentation, followed by a conference and question time. The day will close with community prayer, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Procession and Benediction. Much time will be devoted to silent prayer of adoration, testimonials from young participants at the recent World Youth Day in August in Germany. On Sunday 16 October at 5.30pm these days of intense study and prayer will close with a solemn Mass and procession with the Blessed Sacrament. (RZ) (Agenzia Fides 14/10/2005, righe 15, parole 173)
