Quito (Agenzia Fides) - 'Por tí vamos a vencer' is the title of the musical play just presented by the Economic and Social Inclusion Ministry (MIES) and interpreted by the 'Niños Cantores del Pueblo' choir. The more than 30 members of the group are part of the program for the eradication of child labor (ETI). The campaign ‘Da Dignidad’, has the objective of eliminating begging. The children come from areas such as San Isidro del Inca, Lucha de los Pobres, La Pulidad, Cochapamba, and the Asociación de Barrios in the North west of Quito. According to MIES, in the last 8 years child labor has fallen from 13% to 2.7%. And this year more funds for the assistance of 4941 people in precarious conditions have been allocated.
