AMERICA/PERU - "Martyrs of faith and charity, witnesses of hope", today ceremony of beatification

Chimbote (Agenzia Fides) - The main Catholic radio stations in Peru, Radio Maria and Radio Santa Rosa, have confirmed the live broadcast of the ceremony of beatification of the first three martyrs of Peru, which will be held today, Saturday, December 5, in Chimbote, from 10:00 (local time).
Many people who for health or other reasons cannot be present at the liturgical ceremony, will participate in the Mass through radio.
In addition, one can follow the event through their respective websites: http://www.radiomariaperu.org/ (Radio Maria) and www.radiosantarosa.com.pe/ (Radio Santa Rosa).
The note sent to Fides also highlights that several TV and radio in Peru have set up a huge information service to follow the beatification.
Thousands of people have arrived in Chimbote (town in northern Peru) on the occasion of the beatification of the three missionary martyrs, the Polish Franciscans Miguel Tomaszek and Zbigniew Strzalkowski and the Italian priest Alessandro Dordi. The three missionaries were killed in this area by the guerrillas of the Shining Path, for their defense of Gospel values and to work with the poor (see Fides 01/12/2015). Delegations from all the dioceses of Peru and numerous groups from Poland and Italy, the two countries of origin of the three new "Peruvian" Blessed have arrived in Chimbote.
