AMERICA/ARGENTINA - International Congress on “Evangelium Vitae: 10 years of Bio-ethics and Life ”

Buenos Aires (Fides Service) - An international two day Congress “Evangelium Vitae: 10 years of Bio-ethics and Life” organised by the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina will take place 26 and 27 September in Buenos Aires.
National and international experts will discuss Bio-ethics in the light of the Pope John II encyclical “Evangelium Vitae”. Participants from Rome will include Bishop Elio Sgreccia President of the Pontifical Academy for Life who will illustrate the historical and cultural origins of the document and academy official Mgr Maurizio Calipari who will speak on the Theology of Life in Evangelium Vitae. Local speakers will include Fr Alberto G. Bochatey, director of the Institute of Bio-ethics of the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina who will give a talk on Evangelium Vitae and Bioethics.
