Budapest (Fides Service) - From 23 to 25 September national directors of university pastoral care and university chaplains will gather in Budapest Hungary at St Gerhard Retreat House for their annual meeting. Fifty six participants will represent 24 European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Cyprus, Croatia, Germany, England and Wales, Irleand, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Czech Repubblic, Rumania, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spaina, Sweden, Switzerland, Ucraine and Hungary.
The agenda includes: analysis of university pastoral care in Europe and possibile new initiatives; presentation of new draft of Guidelines for University Pastoral Care; the journey of universities in Europe: Europe a common space; post WYD in Cologne: towards an itinerary of formation for university students. Time will be devoted also to planning future events: European Meeting of University Docents (June 2007); 4th Day for Euroepan University Students (11 March 2006); pilgrimage of the icon Mary Sedes Sapientiae and 3rd World Congress of Foreign Students (13-16 December 2005).
