ASIA/TAIWAN - Pontifical Mission Societies Office in Taiwan calls Catholics to give generously for mission projects

Taipei (Fides Service) - The Pontifical Mission Societies office in Taiwan has begun its anniual capaign to collect money in aid of the Church’s missionary activity, formation of seminarians and various projects in mission terrories. The campaign was launched with an announcement in the Taipei diocesan bulletin Christian Life Weekly. The PMS office recalled that its main goals are to help the upkeep of seminaries and seminarians and build and repair seminaries. The PMS also funds formation in diocesan institutes and other education programmes. According to recent statistics the PMS in Taiwan are in front line to provide missionary solidarity. The international head offices of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Rome provide formation for students from mission territories, priests, seminarians and men and women relgious at two collages S. Pietro and S. Paolo and the Foyer Paolo VI.
