AMERICA/PERU -“The Eucharist, Christ’s gift to the Church” theme of National Liturgy Days 2 to 4 August in Lima

Lima (Fides Service) - In this ‘Year of the Eucharist’ the Commission for Liturgy of the Peruvian Bishops’ Conference chose as the theme for the 2005 National Liturgy Days “The Eucharist, Christ’s gift to the Church”. These three days of intense formation and reflection will be held 2 to 4 August at Jesus College, Pueblo Libre district, Lima, and the event will be opened by Archbishop Rino Passigato, papal nuncio in Peru. The speaker this year will be Fr Juan María Canals from Spain, Director of the office of the Spanish Bishops’ Commission for Liturgy.
