ASIA/TAIWAN - Archbishop of Taipei encourages Catholics of St Paul’s parish to imitate the Apostle and “grow in spiritual life and mature in the spirit of evangelisation”

Taipei (Agenzia Fides) - “Imitate your Patron St Paul the Apostle, grow in your spiritual life and mature your spirit of evangelisation”. This advice was given by Archbishop Joseph Cheng of Taipei to the people of St Paul’s parish during a solemn Mass on the feast day of Saints Peter and Pau.l During the Mass he administered the sacrament of Confirmation to 17 young adults and gave 6 children their first Holy Communion. In his homily the Archbishop said “to grow in spiritual life we must be totally dependent on the Lord, we must be obedient to Him, we must avoid sin and try not to give in to human weaknesses”. He encouarged the people to take a more active part in parish life. More than 400 parishioners and friends, religious who work in the parish shared this moment of celebration and fratenity.
