Hong Kong (Fides Service) - Identify and tackle challenges at home and outside, renew consecrated life, reorganise path for future growth of the congregation are the themes to be discussed by the 21st Chaper of the Sisters of the Precious Blood SPB which will be held in Hong Kong 27 July 9 August. The chapter will also elect a new superior general. According to Hong Kong’s diocesan bulletin Kong Ko 40 delegates from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao and other countries arrived last week to prepare for the charter with a retreat. The chapter will look at the general situation of the community and with the help of experts they will reflect on the challenges of the present day and on how to renew consecrated life and reorganise the path for the future to bear witness with courage and fidelity to the Kingdom of God. Bishop Joseph Zen, Bishop of Hong Kong, will preside a solemn Mass on the day the cahpeter elects a new superior.
The Congregation of the Sisters of the Precious Blood (SPB) was founded in 1922 a Hong Kong where it has its general house. The sisters are involved in missionary work, education, healthcare and social assistance.
