Rome (Fides Service) - Deeply saddened by the tragic assassination of Bishop Luigi Locati, Vicar Apostolic of Isiolo in Kenya who was orginally from Vercelli in Italy, Italy’s Association of Catholic Doctors based in Vercelli has expressed it grief “for his sudden and tragic death which has plunged into mourning the community in Vercelli and that in Isiolo to which we feel linked in brotherhood”.
Recalling with gratitude the generous work of Bishop Locati in many years of ministry to thjose in need, the association invites its members and friends to join the Archbishop Enrico Masseroni of Vercelli and all the people to pray and thank God for this exemplay priest, bishop and missionary who was an honour to the diocese.
