Hong Kong (Fides Service) - The Hong Kong diocese Kong Ko Bao says that Sr. Antonietta d’Onofrio,coordinator of the pastoral department at the Northern District Catholic Hospital in Hong Kong finds Catholics newpapers and books and other publications very useful in hospital pastoral work: “Catholic publications help patients reflect on the meaning of life and death presenting Christian values. Publications also make patient-pastoral worker communication easier”.
Sr Antonietta’s experience is confirmed by many people involved in hospital pastoral care. They suggested that the diocese should give more space to information on health matters to meet the needs of people in hospital.
