AMERICA/BRAZIL Cruzeiro do Sul diocesan pastoral coordinators make three day boat journey to take part in a meeting on missionary formation and animation for Holy Childhood

Cruzeiro do Sul (Fides Service) - From 23 to 26 June in the diocese of Cruzeiro do Sul (Acre-Brasile) under the guidance of Rev. Daniele Lagni, national director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Brazil, some 45 diocesan pastoral coordinators took part in a meeting on missionary formation and animation for Holy Childhood. The meeting was presided by the Bishop Mosé João Pontelo CSSp. Several of the participants faced a 6-day boat journey, 3 going and 3 coming back, to attend the meeting. Among the main topics discussed, parish, diocesan and regional mission councils; seven steps in missionary animation; World Mission Sunday; the Pontifical Mission Societies.
