VATICAN - Living Sunday Liturgy in a spirit of mission: ideas for a “Missionary Comment for Sunday Liturgy” at CIAM web site

Thursday, 23 June 2005

Vatican City (Fides) - CIAM (International Centre for Missionary Animation) based in Rome near St Peter’s offers priests, religious and laity a series of reflections on Sunday Liturgy in a missionary spirit. These texts are not meant as homilies but simply as ideas for personal or community missionary meditation on the Word of God which continues to illuminate, strengthen and sustain the missionary work of the Church and her evangelisers all over the world. “We hope this initiative - Fr Romeo Ballan, MCCJ, CIAM director told Fides - will make mission become more and more part of ordinary pastoral care in every local Church and apostolic group (cf. John Paul II, Redemptoris Missio, 83)”. For a brief missionary reflection on next Sunday’s readings see: www.ciam.org "Parola per la Missione" and choose your language, for the moment English, Italian or Spanish with others to follow. The comment is changed on Thursdays. CIAM welcomes comments and suggestions to improve its service of mission animation. (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 23/6/2005 - Righe 15; Parole 222)
