Friday, 17 June 2005

Rome (Fides Service) - “What is a child missionary?? What is the Holy Childhood Mission Society? How can we lead children to love mission? How can we lead our boys and girls to love our Holy Childhood Society?” These questions will be answered by participants at Italy’s 2nd National Meeting of diocesan and regional Holy Childhood operators 17-19 June in Vico Equense (Salerno), with the slogan “Children united for mission!”
The programmes includes conferences and discussion. “Starting from Jesus’ missionary mandate to the apostles we will strive to discern the role of Holy Childhood in the variety of educational activities for children in Italy organised by the Church and other entities - Holy Childhood national secretary Stefania Bascapè told Fides. These will be three days of formation in missionary animation through games, songs and of course prayer because the Word of God is fundamental to our work. It will also be an opportunity to share experience of missionary animation and discuss initiatives of the national secretariat.”
About sixty diocesan and regional Holy Childhood operators from all over Italy are attending the this 2nd National Meeting. (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 17/6/2005; Righe 16, Parole 211)
