San José de Costa Rica (Fides Agency) - The Bishops of Costa Rica, together with the whole nation and the entire Universal Church, express their profound sorrow for the death of His Holiness John Paul II. By stressing his human and spiritual values, they thank God our Father for this “Great Shepherd, whose visit to Costa Rica fortified the bonds that unite the local Churches with the Vicar of Christ”. In its premises, the Nunciature prepared a book for any message of condolence people may want to write: people of all ages, faiths and social classes have gone to write their thoughts and grief, their thanksgiving, praise and admiration for the Holy Father, whom they all consider a true “Dad”.
