Rome (Fides Service) - “The tiny Catholic community in Nepal is watching anxiously for news of the Pope. Clergy, religious and laity are praying non stop”: Rev. Pius Perumana, Apostolic Pro Prefect of Nepal.
“Catholics in the parishes of Kathmandu and Godavari prayed through the night for the Pope and his intentions. Most of our people have of course never met the Pope but they know him and show him great affection and also deep gratitude for all that he has done for humanity and the world. At this time of difficulty for our nation we offer prayers and sufferings to almighty God in unity with the suffering of Jesus on the Cross and with the suffering of the Holy Father” Rev. Perumana told Fides. (PA) (Agenzia Fides 2/4/2005 righe 14 parole 143)
